A tea party between 12pm and 3pm is replacing your guests' lunch — plan four pieces per person. Between 2pm and 4pm, three. After 4pm, when it's genuinely a snack, two. How far in advance should I plan an afternoon tea party? Two weeks is comfortable. Forty-eight hours is survivable if you're organized about it. Either way, most of the work happens before the day itself.
Do you plan tea parties outside Los Angeles? The consultation is by video or phone, so I work with hosts anywhere. Sugarbird's scone and catering delivery is Los Angeles-based.
