What is Sugarbird Sweets & Teas?

We are an organic tea company developed out of love for teas and desserts. Creating tea blends for all range of tea drinkers with health benefits in mind.

How do I brew a cup of tea?

Unless indicated, we suggest using one heaping teaspoon of tea into your favorite infuser, tea bag for an 8 ounce cup of hot water.
Different teas require different temperatures. For example, green tea is a very delicate tea, if the water is too hot, your cup of tea may become bitter compared to the black or herbal teas.

You may not have a thermometer for the water but here are some simple guidelines:

Herbal: 208 degrees, boiling. Steep for 5 minutes.
Green: 175 degrees, or when there's a little steam wafting from your kettle, turn it off and let it sit for couple minutes while you prepare your tea then steep. Steep for a minute to 2 minutes.
Black/oolong: 195-205 degrees, pre-boil, if its puffing steam, let it sit for a minute before steeping. Steep for 2-3 minutes.

Where can I find Sugarbird Sweets and Teas aside from the online store?

We are at Farmer's market in two locations throughout Los Angeles:
South Pasadena (Thursdays, 4-8p) & Larchmont (Sundays, 9-2p)

Can I return my item?
We want you to be 100% happy with your order. We will replace or refund in the event the product arrives damaged or the product does not meet your expectations. Please contact us within 10 days of your order.

Can I buy this product internationally or do you deliver?

Yes, we ship outside the USA for $25.00 or deliver within Los Angeles for $15 for orders less than $100, please specify methods of shipping and we can accommodate you.

How long will it take my order to arrive?

Your order will be shipped first class via USPS. Domestic orders typically arrive within 4 to 6 business days. International orders usually in 10 to 14 business days. We strive to ship all orders 1-2 days when placed by 4pm PST. Once shipped you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or regular account payments all through PayPal.

How secure is this store?

This store uses PayPal for payments, and PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

Do I need a PayPal account to purchase from this store?

No, you are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase from this store. Although if you already have a PayPal account you may use it. We can take credit cards.

Do you cater tea parties?
